Heading toward Waterloo

In 1979, the bus along the Seven Sisters Road from the British Library into Soho and on to Waterloo was the AEC Routemaster Number 76.

I imagine that Katarin, eager to enjoy some of London’s green spaces, might have left City University by foot, rather than take the tube at the Angel, and then ambled along the Seven Sisters road and taken a detour into Regent’s Park to experience the bright morning, and exult over the end of her classes for that term, at the commencement of her way back home to Brittany.

After a pleasant rest in the park, listening to the birdsong, she might find herself marching back to the main road, where the 76 bus on its way to Waterloo would pass by.
