The logistics and timing of the launch of this novel are all very exciting and challenging. It’s not considered a good idea to lead with the audiobook version; text comes first, sound follows. That’s the general perception in the book biz.
So although I’ve uploaded all the audio files for The Song Cannot Be Silenced onto the Audible/ACX platform, and I could hit the PUBLISH button now, it’s entirely possible that the Audible book would then be live within a fortnight, or mid-July. But the book launch is scheduled for the 10th of September, so that’s just too early. Technical recording issues which would garner a poor review might affect the reception of the printed word. It’s a conundrum.
?How to get beta listeners to offer their opinion of the quality of the recording when I daren’t make the audiobook publicly available?
Answer: compile the audiobook myself using a MacOS Audiobook Binder app, and make it available to interested parties privately. So I’ve done this, and if readers here are interested, do contact the author through the Registration form on the Welcome page, describing who you are and how you are known by the author, and a WeTransfer will be arranged at the author’s discretion.
